Chief Empowerment Officer

Born and reared in Northwest Ohio, George Rice, III is a curator of energy who has spent his professional career pushing the envelope for accountability in education in our society. He is an alumnus of both Morehouse College in Atlanta Georgia and Bowling Green State University in Ohio where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling respectively. He has taught in the public school system and also worked in the higher education and non-profit sectors. George sincerely believes that education is not about training people to answer questions a certain way, but rather empowering people to ask questions that most dare not ask.

George has served as a keynote speaker, workshop presenter and panelist at events around the country and abroad. He is sincere and passionate about education, youth, leadership, community service, as well as social and political issues.

Having coached basketball for over 10 years, his philosophy of coaching is the same as his philosophy of leadership training and life: “A head coach is only as good as his assistant.” You must carefully choose an “assistant coach” and then trust that person enough to help you carve out your game plan. George is interactive in his presentation and combines his coaching philosophy, artistic ability and humor to challenge audiences to think critically, analyze objectively, debate realistically and laugh at themselves accordingly.
